NPBA Futurity and Incentive Fund Details
About the NPBA Futurity and Incentive Fund
The NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund is a stallion program intended to showcase pole bending stallions, junior stallions and their foals.
Our purpose is to elevate the pole bending industry and to encourage breeding to Stallions enrolled in the NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund.
Enrolled foals at the age of 4 & 5 will be eligible to compete in 4 shows that are NPBA Futurity approved. Approved Futurity classes will have a $3,000 side pot for the nominated 4 & 5 year old foals sired by NPBA stallion. The payout will be a 3D format with 3 places in the 1D, 2 places in the 2D, and 2 places in the 3D. At the end of the year the top foal in each division will be crowned the NPBA Futurity Champion of that division.
Stallions will earn points based on how enrolled foals finish at each of the 4 approved shows. At the end of the year 60% of the stallions will get a payout based on 80% of the stallion nomination money for that year.
Additional Information
An additional $1,000 will be added to each of the NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund shows as a side pot in the Open Pole class for any aged horse that has been fully enrolled and maintained a paid in full status in the Futurity & Incentive Fund program regardless of age. The side pot will pay $250 for 1 hole in all 4 Divisions, with the fastest time based off of the fastest NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund Horse’s time from the Open Pole class.
There will also be $250 to the nominator of the year-end winning foal in each division.
General NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund Rules
NPBA reserves the right to refuse any nomination.
No refunds of nomination payments.
Any disputes arising from misinterpretation of any rules or conditions shall be decided by NPBA.
NPBA reserves the right to alter the conditions of all or part of the NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund.
All NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund side pot checks will be mailed.
NPBA Futurity & Incentive Fund for the 2025 season runs January 1st to the NPBA National Finals. Starting with the 2026 season, it will run from December 1st until the NPBA National Finals.
